After building successful programs in the community that are now integrated in local schools – like Junkyard Drumming, the Flame Time after-school Academy at Fulton Elementary Community School and La Academia, Heads Up is getting a NEW FACE!

Heads Up believes is not what you know or who you know - but who knows you and BELIEVES in you.
The research shows that the single greatest determinant of success is the presence of a mentor outside the family unit over the course of years. Heads Up uses creative arts as a tool to build relationships with urban youth to help them understand who they were made to be and develop their innate gifts and talents. Artist Mentors Are The ToolsArtist Mentors engage students a wide range of creative urban arts programs - music, dance, design, visual arts and educational programs - to build relationships and trust with students.
